The belted Cloud Q emerged as test winner in Group 0+ in the test 06/2015 conducted by German Stiftung Warentest. Thanks to a lie-flat position the infant car seat turns into a carry cot outside of the car. This innovative travel system is complemented by a telescopic linear side-impact protection, a near-flat lying angle also inside the car and an XXL sun protection with UVP50+. The 11-position height-adjustable headrest of the infant car seat simultaneously changes the harness length and sitting angle. As a result, the infant car seat grows with the child.

A new function of the Cloud Q is that it can be changed to a horizontal position outside of the car. With a longer leg-rest and a lie-flat position, the child can lie comfortably and in an ergonomically correct position.

The angle can be adjusted easily with one hand without having to take the child out of the carrier, and the handle remains in the carrying position for easier mobility. In combination with the CYBEX pushchairs, the Cloud Q can be used as a visually harmonious travel system. Thanks to the flat lying angle, the infant car seat transforms into a practical and clever carry cot for the first months. The sleeping baby can rest with optimal protection and in an ergonomically correct position.

The Cloud Q is adapted to the needs of even the most delicate newborns and premature babies. The transportation of premature and very small babies, whose neck muscles and reflexes are not yet fully developed, is one of the biggest challenges faced by our safety engineers. The tipping forward of the head, which can lead to breathing problems during sleep, needs to be avoided at all costs.

Together with German medical specialists and midwives, and taking into account the findings of many tests, a new function was developed that enables the flattest possible lying angle between head, neck and chest. The risk of breathing difficulties is thereby reduced. By adjusting the headrest the sitting angle changes automatically and the car seat grows with the child. With this integrated automatic adjustment, the infant car seat also offers bigger children more room and comfort.

Telescopic Linear Side-impact Protection

The telescopic Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P. System) absorbs the force of a side-impact collision in combination with the energy-absorbing shell.

The telescopic Linear Side-impact Protection can be easily and individually adjusted. The very first forces of an accident are transferred by the extended side protector facing the door and are distributed to the car seat's shell. The flexible material and structure of the infant car seat then absorbs the forces of an impact and channels them away from the baby.

In combination with the telescopic Linear Side-impact Protection System the height-adjustable headrest adds to the excellent side-impact protection of the Cloud Q infant car seat.

With the new 11-position height-adjustable headrest with integrated harness guide, the length of the harness changes automatically when the headrest is adjusted. This prevents any need for the difficult threading in and out of the harness and makes it almost impossible to misuse.
